The Inquiry
How do student-staff partnerships co-develop teaching and learning practices that recognize alternative expertise? Working as a Changemaker at Central Saint Martins, I partnered with Technical departments and Administration to explore how institutional spaces can adapt to diverse practitioner perspectives.
Action Research as a Site of Care
In 2024 i worked as a Changemaker at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, London. My project, Portals of Pizzazz, was an experimental action research practice exploring how to create equitable, inclusive, and infinite possibilities for students living with limitations, disabilities, and/or low residency. By building containers of care that employed multiple methods, this work created ripples of change across the university. employed to partner with CSM staff to co-develop
teaching and learning practices. This partnership recognises
that both staff and students bring different but equally
valuable perspectives, ideas, experiences and expertise to a
project. As well as partnering with a project lead, the CSM
Changemakers also take part in Changemaker group
meetings, forming a community of practice and support.”
