Changemaker @ Central Saint Martins
In 2024 i worked as a Changemaker at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, London.
“The CSM Changemakers are a group of students who are
employed to partner with CSM staff to co-develop
teaching and learning practices. This partnership recognises
that both staff and students bring different but equally
valuable perspectives, ideas, experiences and expertise to a
project. As well as partnering with a project lead, the CSM
Changemakers also take part in Changemaker group
meetings, forming a community of practice and support.”
- Annabel Crowley (Teaching, Learning and Attainment Coordinator)
I partnered with Technical, the hub for all Techicians at the school as well as administration. My project, ‘Portals of Pizzazz’ was a trans+multidisciplinary experimental action research project and practice exploring how to create more equitable, inclusive and infinite
possibilities for students living with limitations, disabilities and/or who are low residency, to create opportunities to build community, skills and create containers of care. This took many forms, experiments and employed multiple methods and methodologies and went on to create greater ripples of change at the institution.
You can find my report from my Changemaker role at Central Saint Martins in the Changemaker publication hereand you can see a gathering of some of my process for what became my Studio Space @ CSM practice based research project here.
