The Inquiry
How does the body express psychogeography, trauma, and memory through raw physical movement and markmaking? This series tracks the interior and exterior landscapes of chronic illness, ancestral longings, and relational experience.

Practice-Based Research as a Site of Care

Operating as an 'art-chive' in-progress, Emotional Landscapes treats the physical act of painting as a somatic inquiry and a trauma-responsive practice. Rather than creating static objects, these works function as living visual documents of pacing, presence, and healing. Pieces from this series -including Water Memory- actively cross over into my public projects, serving as the foundational imagery for my community zines and immersive installations (such as the Youlou Arts women’s show in St Vincent & the Grenadines as part of Interdependent Indigenous Ecologies and part of the Black History Month exhibition at Central Saint Martins, 2025).
